A brand new, premier downhill mountain biking destination founded by world-champion downhill racer, Neko Mulally. With business partner and lifelong rider, investor, and entrepreneur Dave LaMond, the park was built on a 300-acre plot of privately-owned land that backs up to DuPont State Forest. The land surrounding the park has rich history in the agriculture industry within the Green River Valley. On your drive into the park, in the quiet Green River community of Zirconia, North Carolina, you will see more cows than people and find hundreds of acres of farmland that backs right up to our property.
Ride Rock Creek has 11 downhill-specific trails with a variety of skill levels available by reservation for individuals and teams for practice and competition. An on-site adventure center serves as the hub of our park. This is where you will go to purchase or pickup your pass, rent a bike, pick out your next piece of new gear, get your bike fixed, or grab something to keep you fueled for a full day of riding! A qualified mechanic will be on staff to keep riders rolling. Camping is available right down the road at the Rock Creek Campground and booking can be done through their website.
All Built, Designed, and Operated, in-house, By Pisgah Trail Company
In-House Sawmill
We expanded our capabilities at the park with the addition of a dedicated sawmill.
This has allowed us to mill high-quality lumber for a wide range of on-site features, including start gates, wall rides, drops, and various structural elements throughout the parks.
Our sawmill has also supported local businesses, providing custom-milled wood for establishments such as Trailside Brewery, including seating and other functional pieces.
The ability to produce our own lumber not only enhances project efficiency and craftsmanship but also ensures consistent quality and sustainability across everything we build.
Tumbleweed Re-Work
Tumbleweed is one of the most heavily ridden trails in the park. What began as a half-natural, half-flow trail has evolved into a full flow/jump experience.
With any jump trail, consistent maintenance is essential to keep it running safely and smoothly.
Riders always appreciate a freshly shaped, well-maintained trail.
Having the right machine and attachments makes resurfacing efficient and keeps the trail dialed.
Expanded Event Pit Area Build
We were fortunate to receive a Destination Enhancement Grant from Henderson County, which allowed us to expand and improve our event pit area.
The pit area serves as the central hub for teams and vendors, offering convenient space for tents, equipment, and support during events.
This expanded area significantly elevates the professionalism and overall experience of our events.
Weβve proudly hosted multiple national-level races, including the USA Cycling Gravity Mountain Bike National Championships and the Monster Pro Downhill National Series.
In-House Jump Fabrication
Our crew is also skilled in metal fabrication and has built several custom features for the parks.
These projects include fully fabricated metal ramps as well as reinforced metal supports for wooden ramp structures.
Additional fabrication work ranges from start-gate roll-in supports to custom machine attachments and display pieces for our retail spaces.
Weβve also produced multiple metal ramps for a new bike park scheduled to open in Swannanoa, NC in 2026.
