Mills River Maintenance
This project started with a vision to give Airbnb guests a unique way to experience the property. The owner had already begun building a trail network that winds through rhododendron tunnels, crosses a suspension bridge, and leads to a scenic overlook with sweeping views of the valley.
Our crew was brought in to help bring the project across the finish line. We cleared dense brush, improved drainage, and refined the trail corridor to create a more sustainable and enjoyable experience. With a little extra shaping and finish work, the trail system came together beautifully and now serves as a standout amenity for guests looking to explore the property on foot.
Week 1

Built natural stone steps to improve access to the overlook platform using native rock from the property.
Fixed the downslope, improving drainage and long-term sustainability.
Improved the trail surface by removing roots, stumps, and other obstacles to create a smoother, more enjoyable hiking experience.
